Ceiling insulation

The two insulation programs are in effect from 1 July 2009 and will run until 30 June 2011 for renters and landlords, and 31 December 2011 for owner-occupiers.

The Homeowner Insulation Program offers ceiling insulation worth up to $1,600 to owner-occupiers. It targets homes that are currently not insulated, or have very little ceiling insulation. If the total cost of installation is less than $1,600 there will be no more for the homeowner to pay. We anticipate that most homes who are eligible will fall under the $1,600.

The full program is in effect from 1 July 2009 and will run until 31 December 2011.
Getting started

Owner-occupiers who wish to participate in the program should read the Program guidelines before arranging insulation. The insulation must be installed by an insulation installers who are registered on the Australian Government's Installer Providers Register.
